Academics
However, we are not obsessed with maintaining academic standards to the detriment of the students. As our Mission Statement says, our target is the individual's acceptance to be an "effective servant of Christ in this world". This takes some effort to achieve on the student's part as well as from the teacher. We set challenges and targets, and we mark on actual performance rather than on the principle of making the child feel good. Our academic program is designed to train students with all the skills and knowledge
they will require for a successful continuing education. We seek to meet or exceed
all the academic goals of the Ontario Ministry of Education plus our additional
goals in the area of religious instruction. The record of our graduates proves
that they have been well prepared for secondary school. (Scoring on literacy tests,
etc.)
